Welcome to Vienna, the best place to live!
(Global liveability index, The Economist, 2018)

Vienna is the historic and cultural center of Austria. Vienna provides a large cultural program from music to art and history. Museums and imperial heritage, parks, Cafés and the solid Viennese cuisine invite for a city tour. September is a perfect month for outdoor activities. More than half of the metropolitan area is made up of green spaces. 280 imperial parks and gardens enrich the cityscape. The nearby recreation areas of Prater, Vienna Woods and Lobau invite visitors to go on walks, day trips, hikes and bicycle tours.

What to do in Vienna?

Walking tour in the Viennese vine yards, there are nice little taverns with a great view over the city.

Wien-Bratislava: The capital of Slovakia is only one hour away from Vienna!

Open house in the 14th and 15th of September

The National Park Donau-Auen starts in Vienna and goes almost to Bratislava. On the Viennese city map you can find marked trails in the tab “Art and leisure, city walks”

The Danube island has a length of 21 km and is perfect for jogging, biking and swimming.

City walks: In the Viennese city map in the tab “Art and leisure, city walks” you find marked trails with different topics like city hiking trails, atrium houses, and Danube canal.

Viennese Alps: Not far from Vienna (1,5 h by train) you can reach Mountains around 2000 m. Hiking trails start at the train station “Puchberg am Schneeberg” or “Reichenau an der Rax”
